SM Solutions has come about organically by the recommendation of clients and friends to extend our services and abilities. The vehicle of SMSolutions was established to meet these highly valued suggestions. Daniel Spangenberg and Jeanine Spangenberg combined to establish this service-orientated business. Both have extensive people knowledge and Daniel has operated in senior business environments from a functional managerial aspect as Jeanine has from a Communication and Marketing aspect.
DANIEL SPANGENBERG
Daniel studied his BA (Phys ED) at Stellenbosch University, after which he found employment in Nedbank (1979). As in all banks, Daniel was thoroughly trained in all aspects of finance while continuing his studies in Business Management (University of Stellenbosch Business School) and in 1988, was headhunted to convert the Namibian savings bank, SWAbank, into a fully-fledged financial institution. The Commercial Bank of Namibia was established after which, the Nedcor group once more persuaded Daniel to return and assist with the conversion of Nedbank Windhoek, to the Namibian Banking Corporation. Soon afterwards, Southern Life enticed Daniel after 21 years of banking to head up the Southern Asset Managers (Pty) Ltd, handling all investments external to South Africa.
He then took a sabbatical and went to fulfil his passion in the mission field basing in Kansas City. Even then his business skills allowed him to consult with numerous companies. Daniel is a Director of M & M Investments (Pty) Ltd and a shareholder of Namibia Bureau De Change (Pty) Ltd. Daniel has gained international experience in Business Development and Management and has worked in South Africa, Namibia, USA, Nepal, India and Uzbekistan.
His vast knowledge of different cultures and business styles has stood him in good stead in the recruitment industry. He has focused on recruitment in the high tech arena concentrating on the Engineering field, IT industry and the financial industry and specialising in large corporates, where his past business experience enabled him to successfully supply suitable candidates for blue chip companies.
JEANINE SPANGENBERG
After matriculating in 2003 Jeanine spent a year in Holland as Human Resource Administrator at Solectron BDO. She then spent another year in Ireland at Masters Commission. On her return to South Africa she completed her BCom (Communication Management) at University of Pretoria.Although she has continued with her Honours at University of Pretoria she has thrown herself into the business world with great aplomb.
Her strength is her extensive knowledge of soft skills required to be an outstanding performer within any organisation. Jeanine is also a specialist in branding and communication methodologies within the organisation.This interest leads to her passion for personal branding and identification of above average colleagues in the higher echelons of management. Jeanine has successfully led a number of branding projects for charity organisations and listed furniture manufacturers and retailers.
